DUBAI – The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its support for the Most Noble Number charity auction, organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) at the Armani Hotel Dubai, Burj Khalifa this Saturday.

The auction aims to raise funds for the Edge of Life campaign, launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to rescue five million children from hunger worldwide.

The campaign’s goal is to raise a minimum Dh1 billion to combat childhood hunger and malnutrition globally.

Plate numbers

RTA has dedicated nine special plate numbers to the auction: DD 6, DD 16, DD 25, DD 30, DD 99, DD 100, DD 999, DD 7000, and DD 22222. High-profile personalities, philanthropists, and business leaders are expected to participate, promoting a culture of generosity and humanitarian action across the UAE.

Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, highlighted that this initiative reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for sustainable humanitarian support, ensuring resources reach the most vulnerable children worldwide.

Edge of Life

The Edge of Life campaign is organised in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger. Operating under MBRGI, the UAE’s largest foundation for humanitarian, aid, development, and social work, the campaign builds upon previous Ramadan initiatives, which have enjoyed wide public support. Al Tayer emphasised the role of national institutions in supporting such causes, underlining the importance of social responsibility and the UAE’s commitment to global humanitarian efforts.

Charity auctions in Dubai have become pivotal in promoting philanthropy. Last year’s Most Noble Number auction, supporting the Fathers’ Endowment campaign during Ramadan 2025, raised Dh83.677 million.
